We’re hockey fans here at the Experience, and very proud of our President’s Trophy-winning Washington Capitals (though we’d be prouder if they could advance in the playoffs). Not far from downtown DC-just a touch-up icing away in Ballston, VA-the Caps are holding their 2010 FanFest and Rookie Development Camp at their practice facility atop the Ballston Common Mall parking garage. I know it sounds weird, but it’s really a cool place, and not just because it’s full of ice. See what I did there?
Events will include an equipment sale, face painting, moonbounce and slapshot cage, autograph sessions, and more. Rookie camp runs throughout this week, culminating in Saturday’s FanFest.
The rink is easy to get to-you can drive or take the Metro to the Ballston stop on the Orange Line.
