Cherry Hill Park-not your average RV park by any measure-is celebrating Earth Day today and through the weekend. You know, because without the Earth, driving RVs around would be extremely difficult at best. Here’s a few things we’re doing at Cherry Hill to keep it green.
- Through the weekend, the Gift Shop is offering a 20% discount on all bamboo T-shirts. They’re really soft, and come in a variety of colors. The sale ends Monday.
- The Star Cafe has switched to an entirely recyclable/biodegradable lineup of utensils, napkins, and to-go boxes.
- Cherry Hill Park is powered by 100% green energy. The photovoltaic solar panels on the roof of the office have generated 27.62 megawatt-hours. It’s the equivalent of 15 and a half barrels of oil. The rest of the electricity in the park is purchased from off-site wind farms.
