The Original Ben’s Chili Bowl

Washington, DC is not just for the M’s–Monuments, Memorials and Museums.  You can also find some R’s, that is, RV parks of course, and Restaurants!  If you’re into food (and let’s face it, who isn’t!) then be sure to check out the iconic Ben’s Chili Bowl.  Still serving the same fantastic foods that they’ve been serving since 1958, you can join many, including President Obama and Bill Cosby, to say that you’ve eaten at Ben’s Chili Bowl.  Try their famous chili half-smoke or chili cheese fries.  And if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, they have delicious options as well!

Directions
To get to Ben’s Chili Bowl, take the Green Line towards Branch Avenue 6 or 7 stops (If you are coming from either College Park or Greenbelt Metro Station respectively), until you are at U Street.  Exit the Station and you will see Ben’s Chili Bowl across the street.  Safely cross at the crosswalk at 12th or 13th street and walk to the restaurant at 1213 U Street NW.
