Zoo Lights

Bring in the new year with some spectacular lights at the Smithsonian National Zoo! Admission is free, and the zoo is easily accessible by metro or car. You can see the lights from 5-9PM tonight or Wednesday night, and celebrate the new year with all the nocturnal animals! See you all in 2014!

New Solar Panels!

We added 24 new solar panels to the roof of the Bus Depot here at Cherry Hill Park! They will produce 7.8 kilowatts of power, which is enough for the Depot as well as some surrounding campsites. Marine Corps Marathon

The Marine Corps Marathon will take place October 27th, with events leading up to it starting the 24th!  There will be around  43,000 registered participants running through parts of DC and Virginia.  If you would like to attend as a spectator, here is some useful information.  It should be a wonderful weekend for all!
